I haven’t been to a wedding in 3 months. It’s a record. But in a week I get to go to my dear friend E’s wedding at a ski resort in Maryland, and I could not be more excited, and I cannot wait to share everything about it with you all so soon!
In the meantime, here are some of my favorite guest dresses out in stores now. Most of you know I’m not a bag whore kind of girl. No, no. I take my temptations in the form of shoes, (lots and lots of shoes) dresses and coats. It’s bad. By the way… sometimes you can get really amazing dresses that won’t make you shell out you’re entire paycheck, which… is amazing. And sometimes, you have to just suck it up, spend the money and promise yourself to wear it more than once. Enjoy!
New bridesmaid dresses from Ann Taylor for Spring 2009. I for one am very happy the Ann Taylor dresses are back! (Even if they are a little bit more expensive than they used to be.) They’re still very chic, simple and elegant.
From Left to Right: Iridescent Dupioni Dress by Unger for Ann Taylor $229, Crossdye Dupioni Flower Sash Dress $199, Karen Crossdye Dupioni Dress with Charmeuse Waist $199
Here are some of my favorite new party dresses of ’09 that will carry you through the any kind of throwdown this season. Whether it’s laid back cheap chic, or high profile glitz and glam, these dresses are sure to impress.
Of course there are some of my go-to favorites like Anthro and Banana, but I threw in one of my new favorites. CMarchuska is a fabulous new line by a fabulous and very lovely lady. Her dresses, tees and clothing is sexy and get this…it’s eco-friendly. I’ll tell you all about them in another post. For now just ogle “the sylvia dress.”
Casual, Laid Back Afternoon Shin-Digs…
Saucy Night Time Numbers that Turn Heads…
Mid-Morning Brunching Frocks that totally trump a hangover…
So in addition to all of the weddings I have to attend, this year and next, I have some supplemental events: rehearsal dinners, showers and bachelorette parties to attend too. I’ve been dress shopping for a few months now for fun, flirty little spring dresses that will make me appear a) incredibly happy for the couple I’ve traveled so far to bestow my well wishes upon and b) super hot to every hot single groomsman at the party.
Here are some of my favorites:
GAP - Tropical-print Flounce Dress $69.50
CK Bradley – Lally Dress $358
J.Crew – Polka -dot rosette dress $168
Anthropologie- Yellow Cloud Dress $178
Boden – Pretty Applique Dress $168
Keep a lookout for a post on cute shoes to match tomorrow. Who doesn’t love shoes… come on.
